Setting Up Event Registration
Turn on registration, understand what happens when someone signs up, and how capacity limits work.
Turning registration on
From an event's settings, enable Registration and choose whether it's open to the public or invite-based. Once enabled, a public registration page and link become available for that event.
What happens when someone registers
A registration creates a record tied to that event and, if Event Registration Confirmation automation is enabled, immediately sends the registrant a confirmation message, see Sending Automatic Event Registration Confirmations.
Registering isn't the same as attending. Registrations feed into the Event, then Attendance pipeline, but a person still needs to be checked in at the actual service for attendance to reflect it.
Capacity and limits
You can cap total registrations for events with limited seating, once the cap is reached, the public page shows the event as fully booked rather than continuing to accept sign-ups.
