Setting a Response Limit or Closing Date on a Form
How to cap how many people can respond, or automatically stop accepting responses after a certain date.
Where to set it
Open your form's Settings, alongside Submission Name and Confirmation Message:
- Response Limit - a maximum number of submissions the form will accept
- Close Date/Time - a point after which the form stops accepting new responses
What happens once the form closes
As soon as either condition is hit, anyone who opens the public link sees a clear "This Form Is No Longer Accepting Responses" message instead of the form itself.
This is enforced twice - once when the page loads, and again on submission itself, so even someone who had the form open before it closed can't sneak a late response in.
A form with zero responses won't show up in your Submissions summary until it has at least one real submission.
