Building a Matrix/Grid Field
Ask the same set of questions across multiple rows, rendered as a real table.
What a Matrix field is for
A Matrix/Grid field is useful when you're asking the same set of choices repeatedly, rating multiple services, answering yes/no across several statements, without creating a separate field for each row.
Setting it up
Choose a Selection Type, Single (radio button per row) or Multiple (checkbox per row), then define your Rows and Columns lists. The field renders as an actual HTML table, not a stacked list of repeated questions.
Every row needs an answer if the field is marked required, a respondent who fills in only some rows and submits will see a named error pointing to exactly which row is incomplete.
Best practice
Keep column labels short (a handful of words at most), a matrix with long column headers becomes cramped and hard to read on mobile, where most of your form respondents likely are.
