Finding a Member by Phone Number in Search
Search for a member using their phone number, not just their name, when a name search doesn't turn up the right result.
Search now matches phone numbers too
Searching for a member in Sermfy now also matches by phone number, not only by name, so if you have someone's number but aren't sure how their name is entered in the system, you can search on the number instead.
When this is useful
This helps when a name search comes up empty or returns too many similar results, a shared last name, a nickname entered differently than expected, or when someone calls in and you only have their number in front of you.
Best practice
If a name search isn't turning up who you're looking for, try searching by phone number before assuming the record doesn't exist, it often finds the right person faster than guessing at name spelling.
