Resuming an Abandoned Check-In Session
How Sermfy detects a check-in session that was started but never closed, and how to jump back into it.
What "abandoned" means here
Sermfy looks for sessions where at least one person was actually checked in but the session was never formally closed, that combination is what marks a session as abandoned and in-progress, rather than just an untouched future session sitting on the calendar.
Where you'll see it
A Resume Check-In card appears on the Dashboard listing any sessions matching this pattern, tap it to jump straight back into that session's check-in screen rather than starting a fresh one.
Dismissing a card only hides it for your current visit to the Dashboard, it will reappear next time you load the page if the session is still open. This is intentional, so an abandoned session doesn't get permanently forgotten.
Badge counts
The same open-session count shows as a small badge on Attendance in both the desktop sidebar and the mobile "More" menu, so it's visible even before you reach the Dashboard.
