Best Practices for Setting Up Your Dashboard
A practical approach to configuring stat cards and sections around your actual role.
Start from your role, not from "everything available"
The Dashboard supports up to 8 stat cards and several toggleable sections, but more visible cards isn't automatically better. Choose based on what you personally check often, a Finance lead's ideal Dashboard looks different from a Follow-Up lead's.
Recommendations
- Turn off whole sections you never reference (see Dashboard Sections: What Each Widget Shows) before fine-tuning individual cards
- Remember that stat-card choices are per-device, set up your Dashboard the same way on each device you regularly use Sermfy from
- Revisit your setup after a role change, a card configuration chosen a year ago may not match your current responsibilities
Section-level toggles apply to everyone on the account, while individual stat cards are personal, coordinate with your team before turning off a whole section others might rely on.
Best practice
Reassess your Dashboard setup roughly once a quarter, what mattered most when you first set it up often shifts as your church's priorities or your own role evolves.
