Scheduling a Broadcast for Later

Send Now vs. Schedule, and what happens to a scheduled broadcast's status along the way.

The two delivery options

When composing a broadcast, choose Send Now to dispatch immediately, or Schedule to pick a future date and time.

Status as it moves through delivery

A broadcast can show as Scheduled, Processing, Completed, Partially Delivered, Failed, or Cancelled. A scheduled broadcast sits as Scheduled until its send time arrives, then moves to Processing while Sermfy validates credits, resolves recipients, and dispatches.

Once a scheduled broadcast starts Processing, it can't be edited, changes need to be made while it's still in Scheduled status. If you need to change the message or recipients after that point, cancel it (if still possible) and create a new one.

Best practice

Schedule time-sensitive messages (event reminders, service changes) at least the evening before rather than the morning of, this gives you a buffer to catch and fix a mistake in Scheduled status before it starts processing.
