What each number in a broadcast's detail view actually means.
What's in a broadcast's detail view
Opening a broadcast from Recent Broadcasts or SMS Usage shows: Recipients, Delivered, Pending, Failed, Credits Used, Created By, Created Date, Scheduled Date, and Delivery Time.
The recipient log
Drilling further into an individual broadcast shows a full Recipient Log, name, phone number, delivery status, date and time sent, and a failure reason where applicable, useful when a handful of messages failed and you need to know exactly who didn't receive it.
A message showing Failed or Rejected doesn't consume credits the same way a successfully queued message does, since credits are only deducted for messages actually accepted for delivery, review Failed entries to catch bad phone numbers rather than assuming they simply cost you nothing either way.
Best practice
For any broadcast where Delivered is meaningfully lower than Recipients, check the Recipient Log's failure reasons before resending, a batch of failures with the same reason (an invalid number format, for example) usually points to a data quality issue worth fixing at the source rather than one-off bad luck.
