Understanding Multi-Branch Mode: What Changes at Your Second Branch

A checklist of everything that appears or changes the moment your church becomes multi-branch.

What turns on automatically

  • The branch switcher appears in the top bar/sidebar
  • Self-Registration links and QR codes become branch-specific, requiring a branch choice before generating one
  • Branch Admin roles can be assigned per branch, so a Branch Admin at one location doesn't automatically have access to another
  • Check-in, Group Check-In, and member lists can all be filtered or scoped by branch

What doesn't change

Your existing single-branch data isn't reorganized or migrated, everything that existed before simply becomes associated with your original main branch, nothing is lost or duplicated in the transition.

Multi-branch mode is triggered automatically the moment a second branch is created, there's no separate toggle to turn it on or off deliberately.

Best practice

Immediately after your second branch is created, review your existing Branch Admin assignments and Self-Registration links, confirm they're scoped the way you expect rather than assuming the old single-branch setup still applies everywhere.
