Switching Between Branches
How the branch switcher works, and why your selection persists across sessions.
Where the switcher appears
For multi-branch churches, a branch switcher appears in your top bar (mobile) or sidebar (desktop), for single-branch churches, this is replaced with your member prefix text instead, since there's nothing to switch between yet.
Why your selection sticks
Your active branch selection is saved to a long-lived cookie, so it survives navigation and even closing and reopening your browser, similar to how a social platform remembers which Page you were managing.
Not every screen in Sermfy automatically respects your active branch selection, newer pages need this wired in individually. If a page seems to be showing the wrong branch's data, that specific screen may not yet read the active-branch cookie, rather than your selection being wrong.
Best practice
If you regularly work across branches, get in the habit of glancing at the switcher before doing anything branch-sensitive, adding a member, taking check-in, generating a report, rather than assuming it's still set to the branch you last used yesterday.
