Creating a branch

From Church, then Branches, add a new branch with a name and address. Sermfy automatically generates its branch code and branch number, you don't assign these manually.

What changes when you add a second branch

The very first branch your church has is automatically your main branch. The moment you create a second branch, your account switches into multi-branch mode, this is what makes the branch switcher, branch-scoped filters, and Self-Registration's per-branch links and QR codes appear throughout the app.

Going from one branch to two is a one-way structural change in how your account behaves, plan your branch names and codes with some care before creating them, since Deleting a Branch has real restrictions once members are assigned to it.

Best practice

Set up your full branch structure early, if you know your church will eventually have three locations, it's simpler to create all three up front than to retrofit reports, admins, and registration links after members are already spread across an incomplete structure.
