Automating Giving Receipts
Automatically generate and email a receipt whenever a gift is recorded.
What it does
When a gift is recorded, whether through Online Giving or entered manually under Tithes/Offerings, Sermfy can generate and send a receipt automatically instead of a staff member creating one by hand.
What's on the receipt
Receipts are generated as a PDF and include the giver's name, amount, fund, date, and a receipt number, then emailed via Sermfy's email delivery provider.
Turning it on
Under Settings, then Automation, then Giving Receipt, toggle it on. Existing gifts recorded before you turn this on are not retroactively receipted.
If a giver has no email on file, the receipt is still generated and stored on their record, it just isn't emailed. You can find and resend it from the giving history later.
