Understanding Subscription Grants and Whitelisting
How access granted outside the normal billing flow is tracked and audited.
What a grant is
Occasionally, access is extended outside the standard Paystack billing flow, a trial extension, a goodwill accommodation, or a special arrangement. These are recorded as subscription grants, kept in a dedicated audit table separate from regular billing records.
Why this matters to you
If your church's access doesn't match what your regular billing history alone would suggest, a grant is usually why, this is intentional and tracked, not a billing error.
Grants are applied by Sermfy directly, they aren't something a church admin can create or edit from within Settings, if you believe your church should have one, that's a conversation with Sermfy support rather than a self-service setting.
Best practice
If you've been given a grant or extension, note the reason and duration somewhere on your own end too, so your team isn't surprised when it eventually reverts to standard billing.
