Understanding Follow-Up Team Matching Scores
The exact points behind Follow-up Team auto-assignment, so you know why a specific person was chosen.
The scoring breakdown
When Auto Assign is set to Follow-up Team mode, each available team member is scored out of 100 for a given absentee:
- Location - 50 points (by far the biggest factor)
- Age - 20 points
- Gender - 10 points
- Language - 10 points
- Workload - 10 points (fewer active assignments scores higher)
The absentee is assigned to whichever available team member scores highest, team members already at their Max active assignments limit are excluded before scoring even happens.
Location dominates the score on purpose, a follow-up visit is far more likely to succeed when it's assigned to someone who actually lives near the person being followed up with.
Best practice
Keep your team members' Town/Area and age-range fields filled in and current, missing location data is the single biggest cause of a team member scoring lower than expected, or of an absentee ending up Flagged when a good local match actually existed on your team.
