Accepting Online Giving with Paystack
How Sermfy's Paystack integration works, and how online gifts land in your ledger.
How it works
Sermfy integrates with Paystack so members and visitors can give online through a public giving link, no separate payment account needed on the giver's side, Sermfy manages the Paystack connection for your church.
Where a gift goes
Every successful online gift is recorded as a real transaction in the same ledger as manually entered tithes and offerings, tagged with its fund if one was selected, so your reports never need to separately reconcile "online" versus "in-person" giving.
Online gifts follow the same automatic-receipt behavior as any other recorded gift, if Giving Receipt automation is on, the giver is emailed a receipt as soon as the payment clears.
Failed or pending payments
A payment that fails or is still processing on Paystack's side doesn't create a transaction yet, only a confirmed, successful payment is written to your ledger.
