Getting Started, Part 1: Creating Your Church Account and First Branch

The very first steps after signing up, before you add a single member.

Step 1: Set up your church profile

Add your church's name, address, and logo under Settings, this branding is reused everywhere, receipts, QR codes, Membership Cards, so it's worth doing early rather than retrofitting it later (see Updating Your Church's Address and Logo).

Step 2: Confirm your main branch

Every church starts with one main branch automatically, if you're a single-location church, there's nothing further to do here. If you have multiple locations, plan your full branch list before creating additional branches (see Creating a New Branch), since going from one branch to two switches your whole account into multi-branch mode.

Step 3: Choose your plan

Sermfy's Free tier is enough to get started and evaluate fit, upgrade once you have a clearer sense of your usage (see Sermfy Pricing Plans Explained).

Resist the urge to start adding members before your church profile and branch structure feel right, foundational choices here (especially branches) are easier to get right at the start than to restructure once hundreds of members exist.

Best practice

Treat this as a short, deliberate setup phase, even a single afternoon spent getting your profile and branch structure right pays off across every module you'll use afterward.
