Viewing a Visitor's Profile: Attendance, Messages, and Follow-Ups

What each tab on the Visitor detail drawer actually shows today.

The tabs available

  • Attendance - a record of the visitor's visits over time, the same pattern used on a Member's profile
  • Messages - any SMS, broadcast, or automated message (like an Event Registration Confirmation) sent to this visitor
  • Follow-Ups - present as a tab, but not yet actively populated, there's no live follow-up case data to show here today

Why Giving and Groups don't appear

Unlike a Member's profile, you won't see Giving or Groups tabs for a Visitor, the underlying data structure only connects gifts and group membership to real Members, a Visitor genuinely can't hold either kind of record until they're registered as a Member.

This isn't a missing feature so much as a structural boundary, it's part of what distinguishes a Visitor record from a Member record in the first place.

Best practice

Use the Attendance tab to judge whether a repeat visitor is ready for a membership conversation, someone showing up for the third or fourth time is a much stronger signal than a single visit, and worth a direct follow-up encouraging full registration.
