Adding an Email Address to a Visitor Record
Capture a visitor's email alongside their phone number so your follow-up team has more than one way to reach them.
What's new on the visitor record
Visitor records now have an email field alongside the existing phone number field, so you can capture whichever contact method a visitor is comfortable giving you, or both.
Why having both matters
Some visitors would rather give an email than a phone number, and having both on file means your follow-up team isn't stuck if one method doesn't get a response, they can try the other without having to track the person down again to ask.
Best practice
Ask for whichever contact method the visitor offers first rather than insisting on both, capturing something is always better than capturing nothing because the form felt like too much.
