How Commissions Are Calculated
Explains why commissions are generated automatically from real payments and can never be manually requested or edited.
Triggered by a verified payment
A commission is calculated automatically the instant a church you referred makes a verified subscription payment, there's no step where you request or calculate a commission yourself, the system generates it directly from the payment record.
Why commissions can't be edited
Because commission amounts come purely from real payment data, they can't be hand-edited by anyone, not you, not Sermfy support, if a commission amount looks wrong, the explanation lies in the underlying payment or your commission rate, not in a number someone could simply change.
Your rate varies per partner and church
Your commission rate is set for your account and can vary by the church or agreement involved, so two referred churches paying the same subscription amount won't necessarily generate identical commissions, the rate applied is whatever's set for that particular relationship.
Best practice
When a commission amount surprises you, check the payment amount and rate shown on that commission's row before assuming something is wrong, most surprises trace back to a rate or payment detail rather than an error.
